Body, Brain, and Energy-Centered Psychotherapy

My approach integrates body-, brain-, and energy-based techniques to facilitate profound and lasting changes in your neural structure. Clients often share that they achieve more in one session with me than in several months of traditional weekly therapy.

Here’s how I make a difference:

  1. Holistic Integration: We don't just release negative patterns; we help your nervous system absorb and integrate positive experiences. As you clear stress or trauma from your body, brain, and energy system, it becomes apparent what you want to replace it with.

  2. Transformational Outcomes: For instance, one of my clients, a holistic provider herself, wanted to reduce her sense of “busyness and stress” during her workdays. By clearing the underlying emotional and neural patterns, she realized she desired a sense of freedom. Together, we identified the sensations in her body—lightness, softness, bright colors—associated with freedom. Using tapping techniques, we embedded these sensations deeper into her body, enabling her nervous system to effortlessly recreate this desired state.

  3. Enjoyable and Effective: Enjoyment is a sign of optimal neural learning. Our sessions often feel playful, creating a “somatic marker” of pleasure. This subconsciously connects previous areas of challenge with feelings of safety, comfort, and lightness, enhancing your overall well-being.

"So much happened in just one day. Somatic work is gentle yet transformative. It helped me heal some of the deepest pain I’ve struggled with since I was a preschooler, alone in my room, terrified by my parents' drunken arguments. Now, I can walk into a room full of people with a soft, open chest and engage with others from a place of relaxed openness and curiosity."

What Do We Do During an Intensive?

Why Intensives?

Intensive are 4-6 hr in-person sessions at your home, local Air B&B or a retreat location in Germantown. For new clients, we recommend a 60 minutes online preparation session 1-4 weeks before the intensive. Another 60 min online integration session can also be included if desired.

What Do We Do During an Intensive?

Why Intensives?

The purpose of an intensive is a rapid and profound transformation of a specific area of your life. Some examples might be: improving your body image, becoming more focused at work, creating a positive, easy and enjoyable transition to retirement, reclaiming inspiration and enjoyment in your creative life, or being more present and emotionally available to your loved ones.

My clients often comment that what they were able to accomplish in one intensive session would have taken them 6 months to a year of traditional therapy sessions.

Why Intensives?

During the initial session, we can talk about your intentions and test some of the techniques that I use, to make sure you respond. We are going to design the intensive together and do only what's most impactful and enjoyable for you. Most people do some combination of guided meditative processes, EFT/tapping, movement and talk therapy. Gentle touch/energy work, essential oils and/or art therapy techniques can also be added.
